Troubleshooting

Why does my Polaris robotic cleaner periodically pause or stop cleaning?

If your Polaris robotic cleaner periodically pauses or stops cleaning, you may be worried there’s a problem with your cleaner. But this actually may not be a reason for concern.

It’s a Normal Process

Does the cleaning cycle periodically pause for twenty seconds? If so, this is completely normal. When the robotic cleaner pauses briefly, it’s simply taking a moment to calibrate its position. So there’s no need to fret!

Time the Next Pause

The next time your robotic pool cleaner stops cleaning and pauses, time it to see if it’s only pausing for about 20 seconds. If so, this is just a part of regular operation.
